Rosberg getting ready to win again.

I do not think you can understate the importance of this race.

So many times in the F1 past (remember those days when reliability really sucked) a driver would win the World Championship and then, the following season, would actually drive even better - only for lady luck to desert him.

My fear is that is what Lewis is facing this season. Monaco was just a shocker whichever way you look at it and coming on the back of the "polegate" injustice of 2014 - perceived or otherwise - then its going to be eating away at Lewis. He simply took Rosberg apart that weekend - 20+ second gap in the same car at Monaco!!!!

Lets face it, if there is one circuit on which Lewis blows the pants off everyone then its Canada. But if he does not win here - for any reason - then I think the serenity and assuredness in evidence so far in 2015 could well crumble. He is such an emotional, heart on sleeve character.

Let's hope not.

No need to thank me Warspite, I fixed your last quote for you since I seen you made a minor mistake with it. [;)]

Damn Hamilton! Rosberg has to win all of Europe now...unless Hamilton has an accident or two.

Looks like Hamilton might get a penalty for his engineer communicating during the race the situation on his team mate. Rosberg asked for the same info on Hamilton later and was denied.

Its on a couple of sites now, but the original site I read that talked about the possibility of a penalty I didn't save and cant find at the moment (it was within Yahoo news links). You can read about Wolff/Mercedes/Rosberg response at: http://www.grandprix.com/ns/ns30192.html

Essentially: During the later stages of the race Hamilton's engineer Peter Bonnington told Hamilton that Rosberg had no problems with fuel, but that Rosberg's brakes were critical. When Rosberg asked about the state of Hamilton's car, his engineer Tony Ross replied he was not allowed to answer due to the radio coaching ban, Rosberg replied "ugh".

Okay thanks. I didn't see anything on the F1 website or Sky or the BBC so am hoping its something and nothing.

There are too many rules in F1 at the moment that penalise the driver for stuff outside their control: Gearbox and Engine changes being two of the most contentious. Why penalise the driver for that?

We don't need another. Lewis may have asked but his engineer should have known, like Rosberg's knew, what was and wasn't allowed.

Therefore if anyone loses out it should be the constructor points not the driver.

60 years ago today - the world's worst Motor Racing accident.

Here is the story.

Warning: Some pictures are pretty graphic.

In the article...about Mercedes pulling out of Le Mans: In 1955, WWII was described as "recent unpleasantness".

This was sixty years ago but the whole event was like it could have taken place on Mars compared to now.

Can you imagine the race continuing now? The Mercedes team had to track down directors of the company from all over Europe to get permission to pull out.

How could anyone in the vicinity say "they didn't know how bad it was"?

Strange end to qualifying. Lewis spins off to hand pole to Rosberg who promptly..... spins off, handing pole to Lewis...

That's 7 out of 8 so far. Keep it up Lewis [:)]

Good race, but Hamilton runs a lot better at Silverstone which is the next race.
