Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

What do they do for you? Same as torpedos for naval interdiction?

Not done a study, but they seem to up the effectiveness vs just GP bombs. I find a 4 engine or other long endurance patrol aircraft with mines can do some serious NI, which makes sense. 48 of them will close a sea hex down (and surroundings) rather well. You need Air superiority to get the best effect (even if not shot down, being intercepted cuts their effectiveness a lot). Oh, and need good weather.
I have a cunning plan, My Lord
