Movement delays

Post by Rosseau »

I'm getting a 10-13 sec. spinning cursor/map draw delay almost every time I move a land unit, or even move a convoy out to sea.

I'm on Win7-64, quad 2.4, 3 gigs, ati 4650 card. Far from state of the art, I know. Is this typical playing Lebensraum solitaire early summer 1942? When I move up to a maxed out i7, will this disappear?

Just wondering if this is a known issue. I know the program needs time to "think," but man it's getting tedious. [8|]

I'm playing the Global War scenario and just finished Nov/Dec 1942. I'm not seeing any delays moving land units except when I move an HQ unit.

Yes, with HQs it would be a lot more calculations. I never tire of staring at the map, though [;)]

Anyone else see near-constant delays?

Could you please upload a saved game of this to a post in this thread? To do that you need to zip the GAM file and use the "Click here to upload!" checkbox.

I will start a fresh game and install to ensure all is well before wasting your time, Shannon. It may be a while, as I am engrossed in my current scenario despite the delays. Thanks again.

This seems to only happen in my games if France is incompletely conquered instead of Vichied, or following a Vichy collapse. That's highly anecdotal so take it for what it's worth.

Yes, Vichy collapsed some time ago. Unfortunately, I don't have a save before it, but we'll see what others say.

We have an incompletely conquered France in our hot seat game and are not seeing appreciable delays.

An chance of putting a saved game in here, so we can see if we've got those delays too?
