RE: Thread for DB3000 database problems, updates or issues
[ADDED DB v439]
Yes, there's certainly a paucity of hard info.
Any changes I could suggest would be relying on the best source I can find, which is a blog that is riddled with broken links. I did learn through the SIPRI database that the Philippines has ordered 22 JDAMs, but no further detail on designation etc.
There was some suggestion that the AIM-9L-1 had been purchased ( https://rhk111smilitaryandarmspage.word ... den-eagle/ ), but the citation link is broken.
For the mean time I will use the South Korean FA-50 that is already in the Db.

Yeah, but the forum don't allow us to post long numbers or something else...So still with your method...I can't post the info.
I cant put all the info in a pdf post the link with your method 'cause the "link have numbers inside and...we arent allowed to post " phone numbers".

[UPDATED DB v439]
Loadout suggestions/requests:
#2050 - HH-60J Jayhawk
Since it's the only Coast Guard helo with a radar, can you please add following:
- Maritime Surveillance
- Search and Rescue
2x 120 USG Drop Tank
#1839 - A-29B Super Tucano [EMB-314] and #1840 - A-29A Super Tucano [EMB-314] of the Brazilian Air Force
Appearantly, only the two-seater A-29B is seen using the MAA-1.
- A/A: MAA-1 Piranha (Point-defence, WVR) (1)(2)(3)
2x MAA-1 Piranha
3x 330 liter Drop Tank
General specifications fixes:
#648 - CH-149A Cormorant [AW.101 Merlin] http://www.rcaf-arc.forces.gc.ca/en/air ... h-149.page
Type: Search and Rescue
Lenght: 22,8 m
Height: 6,5 m
Engines: 3x T700-T6A1
Regarding sensors, can you also please create and add the SX-16 Nightsun Searchlight. (1)
Thanks for taking time and efforts!

Seaman,
You can post links and pictures after five posts. You're currently at 4, so make one more post here and you're through [8D]
RE: Thread for DB3000 database problems, updates or issues
Some issues I spotted in the DB:
DB entry for BGM-71F TOW IIB (1992) has text for HAWK SAM (also listed as command-guided - looks like a fat IR sensor on the front in the pic?)
DB entry for AN/ALE-50 (towed decoy) has picture of an MXU baggage pod [:D]
"Mud Spike! Stream the decoy! ....WTF?! Is that my tux?!"
DB entry for BGM-71F TOW IIB (1992) has text for HAWK SAM (also listed as command-guided - looks like a fat IR sensor on the front in the pic?)

Can you post this to the db and image pack string below this one? Images and descriptions are a community effort. Dev group doesn't have much to do with that.
Thanks!

[NOT ENOUGH INFO]
Kind of a cool new platform coming up:
http://www.iomax.net/archangel/
http://www.janes.com/article/42680/ioma ... -prototype
The UAE is getting some already, as well as Jordan. Could be a fun plane for "what if" scenarios. And cheap, comparatively

Unit Request for RQ-180
I can't post links yet so I had to modify them a bit
Sources:
aviationweek/com/defense/secret-new-uas-shows-stealth-efficiency-advances
deagel/com/AEWandC-ISR-and-EW-Aircraft/RQ-180_a0/0/2/9/1/5/0/0/1/aspx
aviationweek/com/defense/where-does-rq-180-fit-stealthy-uas-history
aviationweek/com/defense/2016-budget-bring-u-2-stay-execution
Keep in mind that very little solid information about the RQ-180 is known to the public, so this DB entry will likely evolve over the coming years.
>Believed to be similar in size, weight, and range to the RQ-4 Global Hawk
"The RQ-180 is similar in size to the RQ-4 Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), weighs roughly 15 tons at takeoff and can operate for 24 hours at ranges in excess of 1,200 nautical miles (2,100+ km) from its base. The advanced aerodynamics are intended to increase the range, flight altitude and time on station."
>Superior to all previous stealth designs (F-117,F-22A, F-35) in terms of all-aspect broadband RCS reduction
"A key feature of the RQ-180’s design is an improvement in all-aspect, broadband radar cross-section reduction over Lockheed Martin’s F-117, F-22 and F-35. This is optimized to provide protection from low- and high-frequency threat emitters from all directions."
>No solid information on IOC date, but multiple sources indicate as early as 2015
"Developed under a secret contract with Northrop Grumman, the RQ-180 could be operational as soon as this year." - Article was published Jan. 24, 2015
"The drone is expected to enter production and achieve initial operational capability (IOC) by 2015 or later."
>AESA radar plus ELINT and possibly jamming capabilities. From this we can also infer it will have some type of electro-optical sensor
"The RQ-180 carries radio-frequency sensors such as active, electronically scanned array (AESA) radar and passive electronic surveillance measures, according to one defense official. It could also be capable of electronic attack missions."

[ADDED / UPDATED DB v440]
I've sended you by PM extra info and answers about your questions, don't know if you received those.
If it's not the case, tell me so I can provide you with the informations.

Hi FoxZz,
Thank you for the detailed information! We've finally gotten around to look at it in detail. Things have been moving a bit slowly lately and Im sorry for that, but most of the suggestions have been added in DB v439 (please note that 1.08 RC3 uses v438, so these changes will be included in the next RC release).

[UPDATED / ADDED DB v440]
Third time's a charm, hopefully this is the right thread.
Will the Chinook HC4/5/6 be added to the United Kingdom (RAF), and the Merlin HC4 to the Royal Navy (RAF Merlin HC3s have been given to the Commando Helicopter Force and will be upgraded to Merlin HC4)? Also the Merlin Crowsnest upgrade will be designated ASaC5, not 1/2. The UK seems to be missing the C-17ER from its inventory and the UK will likely order an Apache upgrade soon to the E model, the only issue is who will be contracted to do the work.
To add to that the UK doesn't use US designations in front of its equipment (CH-47D, C-130 etc). For Reaper the MQ-9 designation is added after the name. Only minor aesthetic differences.
Finally it's confirmed the Type 26 (ship) will receive the Mk41 'Flexible Strike Silo' VLS with 24 cells and the 5" Mk45 gun rather than the 127mm Oto Melara it has in game.
I would provide links but the forum won't allow me [:)]

Lots of info on the new Scorpion ISR/CAS privately-developed aircraft. Maybe not enough to make it a platform yet, but I'll post it here for future reference.
