All the mod's done by John with some assistance by me have dedicated training groups. The Americans have - 3x Army (2 bomber and 1 fighter), 3x Navy (F, DB, TB) and 2x Marines (F, DB). Thus, our air war should be a little more blood then normal, IMO.

Thank you for the training squadrons. My game is at 25 Jan, 1942 and two turns ago I took 33 Army fighter pilots with 70+ air2air and put them in
a advanced training squadron. They are now flying sweep missions at 100 feet. I was able to come up with an instructor pilot in the first week or so.

Something goes bonkers with the combat engine and the "battle" will only last for a couple of seconds.

John is gone for short weekend camping trip with family to the east of where he lives. He stated during Thursday's phone call there is a place with over a mile of small train tracks (about a foot while) with small trains to visit. Anybody that knows John knowns about his love of anything that deals with trains. Time to catch up with AAR and do some serious plotting and scheming as the invasion bonus is coming to the end. Game is up to March 16th.

Re: Torpedoes at PH, I understood that the turn one restriction was for ships docked/drydocked/anchored (torpedo nets up) while ships in a TF would still be vulnerable to torps.

San Fran - 21 xAKs loaded here and sent out 5 hexes in 7 separate TFs to be pickets and hopefully to try to get to Pearl on one way trips. They will spread out in the days ahead. A DB group each from York and Sara are now at Prince Rupert (those that expand to 36 in 43) while the other will stay on board. Plans are for extra Marine fighters to go aboard and leave room for those at Pearl to fly on and not halt flight ops.

Australia - DS is at Perth and plans were made in my head while driving 600 miles round trip to Nashville on Friday to divert what I can from India to here over the next few months. Troops are now prepping for Exmouth, Carnarvon, and Port Hedland.

So China - somewhat of a stalemate here. John has pulled out of both Hengyang and Changteh. However, the two divisions at Changteh are now in one stack to NE of base. I've sent a Chinese Cav Corp to reinforce the three corps there.
