May 1942 Start Scenario

Post by Admiral DadMan »

Old WitP had a May 1942 start. Did AE ever do one?

Somewhere on the forum is a player made mod for one.

Haven't played. Try a search.

My eyes must be failing me. I looked at that list for NikMod. Just found it. Thanks for the assist.

That's great, thank you. I can never have enough "Cat With Bag on Head" opportunities...

I've looked at doing this for my Scenarios but am dissuaded by about 1,000,000 clicks changing bases and all sorts of other things. NASTY!

About a million clicks seems about right. After doing Scen 193 "End of the Beginning", I decided to revisit it and give it a VERY thorough scrubbing this week (along with the others).

Converting a Dec 7th scenario to a May 1st 1942 is trying. There is so much to coordinate - and it's not just Location Ownership; establish reasonable aircraft replacement pools, force levels, Looking Hard at why squadrons withdraw by June 1942(? ..because historically they surrendered or were wiped out? - but what if you keep them alive? - that takes a lot of research) Ships in the proper upgrade state, disablement's no longer at Dec 7th levels....unit by unit. Not to mention 9999ing Out everything that shouldn't be there anymore - so it doesn't show up in reinforcement schedules...and did I mention what command HQ applies now? Oi-Veh!
And that Data Base is HUGE.
