Some units not taking orders

Forum dedicated to the Scourge of War Game set during the Napoleonic Wars. Scourge of War: Waterloo follows in the footsteps of its American Civil War predecessors and takes the action to one of the most famous battles in history. It is by far the most detailed game about the final battle of the War of the Seventh Coalition.

Some units not taking orders

Post by OldNavy77 »

Hi, First time playing SoW. I am running an AMD F6300 6 Core processor, 16GB RAM and Radeon R270X 2GB Graphics card. Windows 8.1 but running the game in Win7 compatibility mode.

In battles I have tried so far some units respond correctly to commands, allowing me to select, right click destination, set facing and give me the context menu for formation etc. Others will not, having selected the unit, I can right click destination and set the facing but there is then no context menu and the unit simply will not move....

Any clues as to what I am doing wrong or is this a bug of some sort?

Thanks

Did you play sandbox or a historical scenario?
If it is a historical scenario, maybe you selected a friendly unit which is not under your control?

It was a historical, so that may be it....I rather assumed every unit in the historial scenarios are under command if they appear in the Orbat. so is that not the case?

Nope your units are listed at the start. You dont control everything you see. As Bde commander you just have your Bde
