I have been somewhat behind in posting updates to the game. We started in Campaign 41...after i blew the Russian defence. Our own version of House Rules...excludes any aspect of restriction for Mule HQ and gives Russians 2 months of double saves...when they most need it.

A new version of house rules is in development between Kerry and I....in preparation for a WIR 3.3 game.

Well, summer 42 and fall 42 have been a "deaden" time. The Germans dare not attack as the occasional time i have tried; they fail to even push the Russian Korps to retreat(this is just after the Russian Korps has advanced...so i know it had no entrenchment value).

The German airforce made an effort to do continuous interdiction bombing(Winter 42) to keep those Rusky tank numbers under control. It just seemed to deplete the German air force pool. It has taken since June 42 to Dec 42 to get back to a point where i can challenge the Russian AirForce.

The Germans have likely lost about 20 hexes since June 42 in heavy attrition fighting against the Russians.

We tend to exchange ALT Rs during 1st blizzard turn...just to reassure ourselves that the game continues to be somewhat even.

An EXCEL spreadsheet summarizes the combat losses since June 41(ok, so i was lazy for 3-5 months in late 41 and these stats are ommitted).

The wordpad document is a listing of commentary between Mike and Kerry regards the progress/lack of progress in the game over past 2-3 game months.
