Victory

Forum dedicated to the Scourge of War Game set during the Napoleonic Wars. Scourge of War: Waterloo follows in the footsteps of its American Civil War predecessors and takes the action to one of the most famous battles in history. It is by far the most detailed game about the final battle of the War of the Seventh Coalition.

Victory

Still learning, but am having some problems with victory conditions. For example, playing the first Waterloo battle scenario on "militia" level. Have taken the woods and also the chateau and still get an inconclusive instead of a victory. Anyone?

I haven't played this scenario completely through but I'm guessing you didn't take the objective soon enough to get enough points for a Major Victory. Make sure you have your officer and enough troops there to activate it. Open the map to determine how many troops you need, mouse over the objective on the map so see objective info: points available and/or how many earned per minute, minimum troops needed, radius size for activation.

RedBugler: I can't find any of the info you write about. I don't get anything when I mouse over the objective on the map?? I'm playing the first scenario in "waterloo battles." It's a brigade size battle.

Have a look in the 'How to Win' section of the manual page 89. Understanding how points are awarded and what is required to do so is critical reading.

When we refer to the map, we're talking about the mini map which pops up when you click the Map button. Find the objective on that map, mouse over, info will show like a tool tip.
