Ok, well now that this is done, it appears to be irreversible. I will take whatever steps are necessary, if anybody can make some suggestions, to make the situation equitable to the Allies.

Once again sorry for my ineptitude.

Comrade! Il Duce can come back to his socialist roots! Italia can fly the Red Banner!

Well, maybe not ...

Just play on and we will fight it out. This game and game 18 are rather a matched set. Two very different situations for the Soviets.

Turn 20:

Have elimniated all German forces at Varna and Sofia (Bulgaria). These cities are without any defence now. SU might take them. This should minimize the negative effects of the Italien DoW against Bulgaria.

There are no Germans in Sofia or Varna. Probably none in any part of Bulgaria.

We have it on reliable authority there are no Japanese there either.

Unfortunately there are altogether too may Germans and Japanese in the territory of the Soviet Union. The British,
French, Americans, and Chinese could really help the Red Army by putting extreme pressure on the Axis. The Allies
may not like the regime in Moscow but if the Axis defeats the USSR they will surely be next. Please be aware of the
experience the Axis is gaining while you stand aside. Currently we stand alone against the Japanese and Italians,
and the pressure on the Germans seems minimal.

Ulan Bator is taken its defenders a small number of Militia overpowered by several full strength Japanese Divisions.

Irkutsk proving a much tougher nut with its KV1 tanks waiting ominously on the West Bank of the only Bridge on the approach to the city. Even so the defenders paid a high price and the Japanese attacks will not Slacken.

The Soviet Union is defending in depth, with her engineers busy. Trainloads of troops head to the fronts every month.

The Red Fleet has been active near the Bosporus.

Italian artillery engages with Red Army units near Varna. Bulgaria now appears to be a no-mans land.

Italian Navy subs and destroyers mix it up with Russian subs near the Turkish border. Both sides take moderate losses.

The Japanese have crossed the river Angara capturing the city of Irkutsk and the coal reserves in that area.

A framework for peace was put forward by Minister Tojo it is certainly hoped that the Soviet Union considers the offer.

Interesting development in this game now. The Soviet Union appears to have concentrated what appears to be an enormous amount of forces in and around Romania. This appears to be a
move to intimidate and attack what they perceive to be their weakest opponent, namely us...the Italians. The Red forces took ground north of Sophia but after a counter-attack by Italian
artillery, infantry and air attacks these forces were fairly heavily reduced. However, ominously, there appear to be hordes of artillery and infantry poised nearby ready to take their place.

The German amphibious assault in Finland doesn't seem to have worked out as planned but we have great confidence in our (recently acquired) allies, that they will continue to kick Russian ass in a manner
that we all have traditionally become accustomed to.

The Japanese force a crossing of a tributary of the Angara River, causing considerable losses to the Soviets including the Soviets only heavy Tanks in front line, more I am sure will arrive. The Soviets are relying heavily on Militia a change in tactics well thought out I am sure.

The USA not to subtle probes along the Japanese coast is something of a surprise Japan has followed to the letter our agreements it is hoped that the USA will hold themselves to the same standard.

The US sends its sincere apologies to Japan for what might have appeared a determined intelligence gathering effort. Nothing could be further from the truth. Several of our Sub Commanders thought they were surfacing off the Chinese coastline, but in reality they had mistaken the Japanese coast for it. We have recalled several Officers for reassignment.

Currently the Soviet Union is at war with the Axis. We face Italy and Japan alone. We have done so for over a year. The cost in lives and wealth has been immense.

Evidently the United States has an agreement with the Japanese. Whatever could the Japanese offer the USA? The USA has nothing to fear from Japan except the costs of war. Japan has very little chance of defeating the United States, period. Any such agreement can only result in grave harm to the Americans.

The dilemma facing the world does not pivot on the attractiveness of the Soviet form of government, or of Stalin's leadership. The question that must be resolved is "can the Axis be defeated if they have the resources of the Soviet Union?"

The Soviet Union will fight hard. The Motherland has valiant defenders. The United States, Great Britain, France and China must recognize the Axis as their enemy. Once these powerful, aggressive nations are seen as enemies to all the West, and progressive China, stands for; then the path will be clear. Take up arms and fight the Good War, for your nations wellbeing, and existence.

Japan attempts to consolidate across the Angara river Soviet heavy Tanks have moved up as we knew they would backed by a porcupine of heavy AT guns, the Soviet militia's untrained as they are present a fearsome blanket across the forests of Eastern Siberia its going to be a long war[:D]

The Chinese have demanded that Japan vacate Mongolia, Japan would comply immediately but it has taken Japan more then a year to reach its current positions, the logistics of such a withdrawal are staggering we are requesting some kind of timetable for such a withdrawal.

To my opponents.....guys, I'm moving to Sydney, Australia this weekend (20th), so I'm going to be out of the loop for a while. I'm not sure for how long but hopefully it wont be longer
than a week.

To all those that have gone through this experience of moving house before, you have my condolences. I don't think I've been so exhausted in all my life. Just when you think you've
got everything done and ready, something else comes up that needs to be taken care of. This process continues and continues and continues.......

Japan continues the offensive against the Soviets pushing west from the Airport to the east of Irkutsk, the Militia's put in the front line by the Soviets do not pose a major problem but they do exact a toll on the Japanese.

On the Political front the Chinese are pressing the Japanese to surrender Mongolia, we are sure this is due to the demands of Stalin, who having been thwarted from his conquests in the west by the Germans now demands that the world joins in his crusade to regain his ill gotten gains.

Interesting, but inaccurate.

A glance at the map will show which nations have conquests.

There are no demands.

The USSR recommends each Power act in their own interests. We will continue to resist our three Axis enemies.

Obfuscated view of events at the time of Japans DOW on the Soviet Union Japan was in the process of withdrawing from China, the Soviet Union had and still has its large boot print in several countries, Rumania Poland Latvia Lithuania Estonia Finland Norway Sweden Mongolia (Granted political takeover)Hungary Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. Not Inaccurate to say the Soviet Union is and was a aggresor, I have never seen such a large and predatory dove, either way the Soviet Union should attempt to keep clean hands before claiming the moral high ground, and attempting to draw other nations in, to do its bidding. The aggression of the Soviet Union has created a Axis, and forced it to act.
