Other Games.

Post by HITMAN202 »

Love WITE. Got Distant Worlds, fascinating but not my cup of tea. What other genre's would you advise to waste my hard earned money on ???

This thing about "Sports League." ?? What is it and what sports ??? I was a Strat-O-Matic junkie years ago. Baseball and basketball. My med school room mate and I nearly replayed the entire MlB 1977 year. both AL and NL. No way ??? We were pretty obsessed with it.

I'm still replaying 1977 NL season using the APBA Master Game (it has been some years since I played a game). [:(]

If you're in for sports sims, Out of the Park Baseball is one of the best there is. The amount of detail and depth within OotP is extraordinary. Highly recommend it.

Yes, I know it is one of the best BB sims! I still prefer the card and dice game. APBA also does the computer version of the Master Game, it is quite good. [:)]

4x strategy games:
Civilization series (many say IV is the best)
Age of Wonders series
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

WOFF best singleplayer flight sim every released..get version 2 upgrade and skin pack aswell.

If your into Football then Football Manager will eat your life away.

Also a gamer needs a good RPG on the go.. currently the favourites are The Witcher 3 and Pillars of Eternity. Though personally I'm still waiting on an RPG that truly gets me enough to finish it and not grow bored not far in. I think I need an RPG that also has other game elements aswell like city building or a Sims like aspect or something....

If you're into card games like Magic the Gathering check out March of War Face Off. It's WWII cards and minatures played in the same light as Magic the Gathering. I found it fun for awhile but it does get repetitive and there's a pretty terrible grind to it as you gain ranks. It's on Steam and it's free to play right now.

Shadowrun Dragonfall - directors cut: a tactical turn based RPG. Takes place in an anarchist neighborhood in Berlin in a future dominated by multinational corporations ...and dragons. A cross between fantasy and sci-fi...and beautifully written. I've played through it twice, and I am not a 'completionist'.

Try an online MMORPG I play Neverwinter by cryptic. Also played Dungeons and Dragons Online. Both are free, neverwinter completely free, you can spend money on it if yu want but can accomplish everything without money. DDO is only partly free, the basic game is free but some content costs to use. Both are sword and sorcery fantasy. based on Dungeons and Dragons.
Favoritism is alive and well here.

Yea, I want to hear your feedback on it as well. I'm waiting for the big discounts on it though so it will be awhile.

Meanwhile, I just picked up Borderlands and Borderlands 2 plus all their DLC's for $8 on this week's Humble Bundle. I'm not really into shooters, but thought I would add one into my game collection just to experiment with it. This is an incredible value.

My old Piczo site seems to be gone, so no more Navajo Nation pics :(
