One problem with TOAW being updated so infrequently in the past is that I will do things and then forget how I did them. For example, is there a way in the Opart 3 Fonts.ini to set place names without the box around them. I thought there was but now I can't remember. Thanks

I think you have to set Background to "N" as here

[ObjectiveFont]
TextColor=0xFFFF84
BackColor=0xFFFFFF
windowsFont=N
Outline=Y
Background=N

Or maybe in the [PlacenameFont] section.

Yes, that is what I thought, but I have the PlaceName Fonts Background set to N. Frustrating. I know it can be done, I just don't remember how.

Thanks for the response.

Well also, for that options to work you have to use windowsFont=Y, but when using the bitmap fronts you shouldn't have that problem... so I don't know.

Found the problem. Some how in the process of setting the options on the opening screen I must have changed the text contrast from standard to high. Setting back to standard, problem solved.

I am glad to see the alt+four digits (keypad) for foreign letters was restored (i.e. alt+0252=ü!)
thanks
