If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

I'd have sent 2 and 2 Yugos in Trieste and Pola and supplied them via UK / London and convoys - much more tenable positions.

German planes rebases to east.
On a 9 turn continues.
I got very lucky this impulse during naval combat and managed to mess that up. I need to be more careful in the future. That kind of mistakes during Barbarossa will cost a lot...
Edit: (Forgot to say earlier) Italy rails MIL to East Prussia.
Germany rails one artillery to East Prussia and another one to Rumania. INF HQ rails from France to Poland.

The tide turns back to the Axis. Greece looks like its a goner. A little luck and some perseverance pays off. What year/month are you in?

Allied next impulse will be M/A 1941 #12.
One impulse will not chance tide of war. Greece is gone, Axis retreated there. And Yugoslavia is not taken yet. There will be a second front if I start Barbarossa next turn and it is always bad.

To start Barbie in Jul / Aug seems a terrible option in my eyes. Usually your planes give support in the opening phase and they're stuck there for the rest of the turn (unless you use your HQs, which are needed for supply ... ).
And leaving Greece as a foothold for the Allies in Europe sounds extremely bad but ...

For sometime there has been only bad options for Axis. I try to do as well as possible as long as possible... If I'm going down I will take as many as possible with me.
Edit: Japan is doing OK. Europe is a mess...

M/A 41 Allies 12
No DoW
All Combined except China Land.
US and CW moves Trans about.
Although 4 areas were available for Naval Combat, CW declined 3 (Nth Atlantic, Cape St Vincent & Italian Coast). In East Med, the Beaufighter initiates searching. Does the Italian sub wish to stick it's conning tower above the parapet?

No thank you. Sub goes to the bottom and waits for turn end.

Rolls of Allies 5, Axis 7 draw a blank.
USSR rearranges units in the North.
With things as they are in China, the Nationalists launch some last ditch attacks. The Yugoslavian army pitches in with an attack on Budapest.
Which combat tables would the Axis like to use?

I was wondering if you go for Budapest. I almost regret taking CAV away from covering Budapest... This is getting interesting.
Assault please.

A 14 is good enough to deal with the SNLF.

USSR rebases a couple of Ftr's.
On a 6, turn ends.
A partisan appears in Greece.
US adds a chit to the Jap pool. US elects to freeze Japanese assets. A roll of 9 means no effect on tension. They also transfer a number of destroyers in the reserve fleet to the RN. On a 7, international tensions begin to rise as a chit moves into the Ge/It tension pool.
