Recent Intel reports have shown John has 11th Tank Rgt prepping for Prince Rupert, 33rd ID for Albany, and 1st Raiding Rgt for Raipur. Let the "Disinformation Campaign" begin!! Knowing John's lack of patience, I think he will not wait until any LCU is 100% prepped before he launches his next major invasion. I figure it will occur in first half of June in western Australia (lots of clear terrain) with Dutch Harbor and Cold Bay invaded beforehand since CL based bombardment TFs hitting both bases regularly.

The next SIGINT that shows destinations will tell you a lot more. In some locations he only might need one unit prepped and just land a bunch after that takes the base. He can't ship them without you seeing some of it though. He can send to a waypoint near where he wants to go and a destination somewhere else though, so that could throw things off. If things start to all have a designation of PH then I'd think West Coast is threatened. If they are going to the Aleutians, I'd be guessing Canada.

John may be getting comments to push through Alaska to land at Prince Rupert. Then, down to Coal Harbour (potential AF 6) to start a strategic bombing campaign since this mod gives him multiple 4e bombers (Liz now and Rita later). Its only 24 hexes to San Fran and the Liz can reach out 29 at extended range, so most of West Coast could be hit with random attacks.

Going one thought further, with the Liz at Coal Harbour, he could launch night attacks on San Fran and Alameda ports at night which would limit me to just LA and San Diego. He would place massive number of subs off those bases.

I could do my updates, but right now there is very little going on outside of China. My MLR is now formed and holding. John has sent five Tank Rgts to Lanchow area and captured Sining. Lanchow has over 1200 AV with forts almost to 5. Most of the daily action is bombing of Hengyang and Changsha. Supplies are almost non-existent in the south. [:(] However, I think John hasn't paid enough attentions here. See screen shot to see hexside control (Changsha and hex between Hengyang and Pingsiang) as I've closed them off. [;)]

No China - I stand corrected, I have 1305 AV at Lanchow with forts at 4 and 54% towards level 5. Screen shot shows troops headed north from Chungking.

I've sucked up ALL 1669 Chinese rifle squads replacements to date. [:)] I have many of the small Corps at Chungking filling out TO&E.

Western Australia -
This is where I think John is going next. I hope I'm wrong, but it makes sense and John post in another thread that its important to capture NW corner of Australia to help secure the SRA. There is a steady stream of LCUs headed for Cape Town (CT) right now that I hope can get here before John gets KB over from Pearl. Its a race that i hope I can win.

Meekathara - this inland base is being built up to base my B-17s. If John doesn't go for the whole area, this will be important base to hit back from.

Albany - Hope to have this become my main naval base (Port can be one size bigger than Perth). Right now the 41st ID is about a week out (coming from CT). Lots of shipping has come and gone into here. More is headed this way.

Naval - Screen shot shows Lex TF. There is also Force Z plus one (BC Renown) and CV Formidable with CVLs Hermes, Melbourne, and Wellington.

Cape Town - A very, very busy base in this game for the foreseeable future. [:D] Screen shot shows the large warships from Enterprise TF and the 2 American BCs that just arrived and will have their 4/42 upgrades begin next turn (Apr 29th). Need the radar and better ASW for DDs. In the next 10 to 14 days, about 2 dozen LCUs will arrive from USA. Most are Eng type and will board transports for Australia.

Aleutians -

Cold Bay - I have had a fragment of each LCU flown back to Kodiak by a PBY group as I expect this base to be invaded at some point. I have 105 AV behind level 4 forts. John has sent in periodic CLs to bombard base (and Dutch Harbor). One of his Assault Divisions was reported to be prepping for here. Supplies down to 8940. I have a Canadian Bde prepping for here (needs PP).

Dutch Harbor - I have 112 AV behind level 3 forts. My PBY group is keeping an eye on ship movements. Supplies down to 5846. I have an Inf Rgt prepping for here (needs PP).

Kodiak - I have 176 AV behind level 4 forts. Lots of pilot training going on here.

Subs - 16 are here or will be here very soon. [;)]

Prince Rupert - not part of this area directly, but main hub for NoPac.

Plans - At San Fran is CV Yorktown & Hornet along with CVL King's Mountain. In this mod, the old Omaha Class CLs can convert to CLAAs in 120 days. Four will be done in next week and transit to SF. Once there, I'll head north to cover re-supply efforts to forward bases.

Major warships under repairs -

Sara has another 41 days from her torpedo hit.

French warships just arrived at Panama. These two BCs will join the two American BCs at CT in a SC TF that will get the first Fletchers in fall. It will be my first dedicated 'hunter killer' group. IMO, they should be able to take on and destroy his Kongos.

Take care that CL Lamotte-Picquet is very lightly armored. Not good against Kongos [;)]
Can be used as fast scout ship or as convoy escort against AMC for instance.

Just a word of warning. I have had dismal results from the French BCs.

My BTS game is in November '43, but been on hold for a couple weeks while I try out Focus Pacific.

I have had the French BCs in several engagements and they got shot up terribly each time while inflicting little damage on the enemy.

Could have just been bad die rolls, but I have been pretty disappointed with them.

Hope they perform better for you.

Night experience for both seems to be pretty bad Hans. Need a place to get some easily. Hopefully, they will get some help from the American BCs and then there are the Fletchers. [;)] John added ME as potential leader as I'm French-Canadian. [:D]

Do you have enough PBYs to surprise his CL bombardment TFs a bit in the Aleutians? Slap some torps on a squadron and wait for them to show up! Hard to hit CLs but it will scare the heck out of him and give pause about bringing in larger ships.

Akutan Island (next to Dutch Harbor) has Zeros and Vals there that I know of. Tried to send a lone xAK with supplies to Cold Bay and got her sunk.

90th Inf Rgt lands and takes Cocos Island vs just the CD unit

Intel Reports shows 51st Nav Gd being divided up on two DDs (probable Fast Transport TFs) to land at Nuka Hiva and Ua Huka; in response, I sent the 4 PBYs to Tahiti and the 3 AVD to follow them there; once the Amphib TF comes back on map from Panama I'll decide as I don't have the Inf Rgt with me (awaiting PPs).
