AI re-supply

Forum dedicated to the Scourge of War Game set during the Napoleonic Wars. Scourge of War: Waterloo follows in the footsteps of its American Civil War predecessors and takes the action to one of the most famous battles in history. It is by far the most detailed game about the final battle of the War of the Seventh Coalition.

Ok I like the Idea of having your Supply wag's going looking for Arty and other units out of Ammo. As in a big game you loose track where all are. Can I take it that all Allies supply wag's will do the job no matter who they are? that is British will do Dutch and Visa Versa Prussian British etc. I know when I get French Supply wag's they do the job.

Ammo wagons refill always friend troops (same side) when near; the routine I'm testing will move the wagon only for the requirements of the artillery of the same group of wagon (usually the battery of the same division).

Has this been fixed in the patch or is it unfix-able?

The patch released is the beta patch of first week after the release. I have already done the routine and it is in test with other changes to the AI, in what patch it will be released it will depends from the priorities for the various patch releases (AI changes requests more tests that other kind of correction, because a problem can appear 1 time on 100 battle).

Consider that it is not a fix but a new AI logic, it doens't request changes in the hardcoded code so every modder can make own version.

Playing as Wellington and Napoleon's grand battery has given up firing I assume due to not resupplying.

I am the Allied side and i have to resupply Napoleons grand battery by chasing enemy supply wagons into the artillery lines. Napoleon must be bored with supplying his own guns.

This still appears to be an issue. Are AI controlled supply wagons supposed to move to and resupply depleted artillery units?

I was playing the French in the corps-sized "full" Quatre Bras battle. It's a three hour scenario with a battlefield featuring lots of open terrain- so decently positioned arty batteries can fire at length and relatively quickly run-out of long range ordinance. I had to repeatedly micromanage my supply wagons in order to get my guns back-up and firing. That's a pain, but I can handle it. However, what about the AI? How is it supposed to resupply its guns if the supply wagons are just meandering about following their division commanders?
