Windows XP and 2.02 Update

I have the game working great with 2.02 update on my pc running Vista. I also have an old pc running Windows XP that I'd like to put the game on as well. It seems to work fine, however, when I install the 2.02 patch I can't get it to work. I'll click on East Front, West Front, or Rising Sun options but nothing happens.

Is the 2.02 patch not compatible with Windows XP? If not, any plans with future updates to have it work in Windows XP?

It works on my old XP machine just fine. Also on the new Win7 64 bit, after some installing of MS redistibutables.

My +1 for checking the C++ redistributables first...
