Remember the "Top Gun" movie, the best of the best for sweeps. When playing Allies, my P-47s get these type pilots.

No night bombing. My surface ships fail to connect, so the night is pretty boring.

39 F4U-1a down, 4 F6Fs, and 1 Spitfire for 29 Georges, plus some Oscars lost making a kamikaze run on 3 destroyers (all miss), and Zekes get trashed over Tokyo....

First stage of the retreat in Indochina is going well...I will never be able to hold in the open terrain...back to the Bangkok line and then the Vinh line.

All troops moving around have played havoc with supply levels...should normalize soon.

That is half a months worth of replacements in a single day. So yes. That is good! [:D]

If he has any sense at all he has his best pilots them. Not sure how he managed to lose so many. Short of CV battles I´ve never lost so many in a single day (that I can remember). Always short in supply as you try and have as many as possible on the CVs...

Jocke just check total number. It is 70% of all Corsairs coming from replacements pools until now.

Sweeping with George, sending a high altitude Frances attack against the deathstar, perhaps a high altitude kamikaze attack depending where it goes.

Running away in Thailand...looks good there for now. Loading tankers with fuel while I still can in SRA.

No night bombing.

Georges sweep Sapporo trading against a good CAP of Spitfires and F6Fs. I have three naval attacks launch, all fail losing 18 Frances, 18 Georges and 12 Oscars.

The Allies throw everything at closing Tokyo's runways...sweeps, single engine bombers, twin engine bombers, and four engine beasties.

Another very bloody day in the air...Tokyo is at 50% damage; Allied planes seem limitless. Wave after wave.

Screen shots - it would help if you hit the "W" button to show hexside control of land.

How large are the tri-base AFs in northern Thailand?? With amount of construction engineers the Allies have, they can be expanded PDQ (Pretty Damn Quick). I shifted my massive number of C-47s to airlift in supplies to mine.

Here you go...Rahaeng triangle's airfields at normal max, Pisanuloke built to 8. So they are very nice now. I am sure he will build them up more.

I will cut the Chiang Mai road in three days I think...with a 30AV Naval Guard slogging thru the jungle.

I have to decide how heavily to defend Bangkok line...or just go back to Vinh line.

Don't forget the trail that snakes from Udon Thani to NW that ends up near the tri-base area. Been down that trail with Allied armor before. [;)]

Good advice, I was looking at that particular route.

Thailand is incredibly difficult to defend...lots of opportunities for an encircling attack by the speedy Allies.[:(]

Turn is done and back, and hopefully we are back on track in this game.[:)]

Back to low level night bombing. This will be so much fun when done with B29s next month. Can't wait.[:D]

We did destroy 2 4E beasties...albeit an obsolete model.

In naval action we swap sub losses...

but then, it is invasions Kuriles! The Allies look to solidify their line of supply.

The 7th Division lands on one island, and the 33rd lands on the other. The potent 51st Base force with 12cm guns is defending Shimushiri but fails to hit anything (does cause some landing losses).

Carnage in Thailand...Japanese executing a fighting withdraw and everything still looks ok...still, with Allied bombers it will be touch and go!

Image

94 Allied Combat squads destroyed, for a mere 3 destroyed for Japan. A pretty good battle thanks to the sudden appearance of the 1st Tank on the northern flank of the Allied line. Can the 1st Tank avoid getting bombed into scrap tomorrow though?

The question is, will you fall back to Singapore or northern Vietnam? Where do you think he'd rather go?

I think he wants Saigon/Cam Ranh Bay.

Singers is worth a fair number of VP; but not sure I want to contest it with 3+divisions. I am leaning to evacuating what I can, but I don't think that is the right play for the game VP wise. So I am still somewhat undecided - can't be for much longer.[:)]
