I'm not sure at what age you qualify for Geezer Status, but if I don't qualify then this thread is sure going to drop in qualified numbers.
There is no AGE requirement. There is , however an ATTITUDE requirement. If you have a geezer's attitude, then you qualify. Simple as that. And a shot gun and a desire to chase punks off your lawn. [:D]

Obviously you want "the wiper-snapper thread". But you show a great deal of senility. I guess that counts for something. [:D][:D][:D]

Funny thing is not many people actually used this to play a 45 rpm on a 33 phonograph. They usually used the cylindrical device that came with it. I've still got some (in my 45's). Haven't played them since 1978. [:D]

My sister had a shoebox full of these. Usually bright yellow plastic I think. My 28-YO stepdaughter had no clue. I realized you had to be a certain age to know what a "45" was as well.

I have both kinds. Technically I have all three. But you are way too young to know about Mr. "Long Colt" of 1950's TV show fame. [:D]

For those that are trying to get rid of the great art that is the signatures of many of our members: Git off our lawn! Let us keep our signatures the way they are. It helps us old farts see who is writing the post, just by the signature picture!

One of the principals of the architecture firm I work for, who is in his mid forties (all three principals are younger than me...and I am the resident FOG), has a tee shirt with that image on it and none of the young hipsters had a clue what it is.

The insert to be able to play a 45 rpm record on a turntable spindle designed for a 33-1/3 rpm record.

Ask the hipsters, without context, what a "B-side" was. Crickets.

As I still consider myself a "youngster", I can't in good conscience answer you what a "B-side" is.

It's the opposite of the A-side. [:)]

A 45 RPM record had one song on each of two sides. A-side, B-side. The A-side was the "hit", or what the record company hoped would be the hit. The B-side was filler. But music history is replete with B-sides that became hits, even huge ones.
