Two 27" monitors

Hi, I running windows 7 with two monitors. The game works fine, but when I open it the second monitor get screwed up and if I have any windows open in it I can only see have of them. And I can see that the wallpaper pic change resolution because the come a black frame around it.

Hope some one can help me.

It sounds like you are not running the game in the native resolution of your monitors.

With 2 monitors, I strongly suggest running the game in windowed mode so that you can access the other monitor without having to alt-tab (or otherwise switch focus) away from WITP. You can find the command line switches to insert into the shortcut properties in the Readme that comes with the game, but in short you should add this to your command line:

-w -px1600 -py900

Adjust the -px and -py numbers as you see fit, but it must be a valid resolution (such as 1024x768, 800x600, etc).

This is an error. Do not reference autorun.exe. Change it to: War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe

In other words, what you have above should read:

"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -w -px1920 -py1080

Now that might not be the final answer to fix the problem(s) you've run into, but it is the place to start.

I have created a new shortcut, but when i write in the code: "C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -w -px1920 -py1080. I now have the tactical map in the top left corner of the screen only half the screen wide and the strategic map in the lower right corner and a lot of black space in the between.

OK. I have never messed with two monitors myself, some of the other guys have and will chime in. Lokasenna already has. So where you are now is the place to start.

Prior to more people jumping in, you might search for some of the threads where other people went back and forth and got two monitors working as desired.

I run with two monitors all the time, but I run in windowed mode. I would strongly suggest that for dual monitors.

I have solved at least some of the problem. I can now run the game in 1920x1080 resolution, however, not in windowmode where the window is a little larger than 1920x1080 so I cannot see the lower part of the screen and a little of the left part of the window, but it seems to look okay when I am not running windowmode. What is the resolution of your monitor? If it is 1920x1080, I would recommend using a resolution smaller than that for window mode.

Is there any way you can post a screenshot? The easiest way to do so would be to press your PrtScr (Print Screen) button while this is occurring, then open up MS Paint and Paste the image into it. Then save it as a .JPG and upload to a post here.

I know I can run a smaller resolution i window mode, but it seems to run fine in this resolution without window mode and I can see the whole screen. So I just do not run in window mode and problem it solved.

OK - yep, it seems to be working alright in windowed mode, except that it is not "on top". This is why I run it in a smaller resolution than my monitor, but whatever you prefer is fine too.

There is a way to set some programs as "Always on top", but I don't know that this is possible with WITP.

Maybe I am misunderstanding what you are trying to do? I use AE in windowed mode with a resolution setting just as wide as my screen but a little bit shorter than my screen. My objective is to have it take up the whole screen except for the Windows task bar at the bottom. When I set the shortcut to "Run Maximized" it automatically goes to the top of the screen so I don't have to do anything manually after launching it.

Is that what you are trying to do?
