Hi German general portrait incorrect

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Hi German general portrait incorrect

Post by DDLAfan »

One of the things I LOVE about computer wargaming is I'm always stopping to wiki some leader or unit.
Anyway, came across Friedrich Koch, german general commanding the XXXXIV Corp in 41. I thought at first that matrix
couldn't find the real guys photo, so plugged in some dude from Kraftwerk. Did some googling and indeed you have the
right name, but the wrong guy. The current photo is another Friedrich Koch who was 21 and fought as a grunt on
the Eastern Front.

below is the real Friedrich Koch, who was born in 1879 fought in WW1 and was a Knights Cross recipient. Since this
game emphasis is detail I thought you would want to know

Well done, sir. Had noted the other "Koch" appears to be LW enlisted, but not research oriented myself.

The problem is I can't make new pictures, those with overlayed flag... With Koch it was simpler, as his picture was fixed in War in the West, and we took it from there.
