Iran Strike, 2015
Here is the first version of my Iran Strike, 2015 scenario. This version varies slightly from the version I played on my livestream. I did a little bit of research into Iran's nuclear program and cut out all of the "civilian" nuclear power plants. Your targets is the heavy water plant at Arak and the fuel enrichment facilities at Fordow and Natanz.
Comments, critiques, and suggestions are much appreciated.
Change Log:
Beta 2015-08-13
- Reduced number of B-1B
- Fixed LUA scripting for Iranian Air defense missions (Should actually trigger now)
- Changed F-22 Loadout
Comments, critiques, and suggestions are much appreciated.

RE: Iran Strike, 2015
Thanks for sharing Kushan, hope to get around to trying it soon.
RE: Iran Strike, 2015
Great scenario so far! Just a few suggestions: add some SSMs to challenge the CVBG entering the Persian Gulf, make the Iranian Air Bases become multi-units (does not slow down performance by much), possibly add Iranian Navy ships, and add some B-52Hs to Diego Garcia and cut down the number of B-1Bs. Some corrections are to change the HH-60S on the CVBG to MH-60S, and to change the SH-60F to MH-60R. Iran also has obtained the SA-10 this year or as early as 1996. I would suggest adding a few launchers around major cities, large air bases, and nuclear facilities.
RE: Iran Strike, 2015
Thanks for the comments B52H.
Unlike most of my scenarios which always to turn into WW3 I'm intentionally keeping this one as focused as I can. Obviously if a real strike where conducted some things not covered would need to be considered. Since this is a limited strike just against Iranian nuclear infrastructure I think it makes sernse to leave the air bases as single units.
Some Iranian subs are a possibility. I'd also thought about SSM launchers but again I feel its starting to escalate beyond what I really wanted to show.
IMO B-52s are the wrong platforms for a strike like this. They cant carry the GBU-57A/B MOP (Massive Ordnance Penetrator) like the B-2, and I intended for the B-1s to be primarily a cruise missile platform but they also have the speed to get in and out quickly with JDAMs.
From what I've read on wikipedia and in the news Iran has yet to actually acquire the SA-10. In fact I saw something about Iran sending a high level general to Russia for negotiations for the SA-10 in the news today. I've been toying with the idea of a 2018 version of the scenario, once all of the scripting is confirmed to be working correctly. I don';t want to have to do any fixes twice. The US side would be more or less the same, some USMC F-35Bs and maybe some additional land based EA-18G's. Iran would be reinforced with S-300 (SA-10), and potentially S-400 (SA-21) missiles along with some additional modern Chinese and Russian fighters.

RE: Iran Strike, 2015
Hi, does anyone have any problem with launching of this scenario? I see just clear globe (no units, no ABs, no nothing...) with a date of 2015/08/10 and 9:14:40 ZULU. Build 678.18.
RE: Iran Strike, 2015
I would also suggest adding Italian, Spanish, French, Polish, Canadian, and more American aircraft from different squadrons. Most of the aircraft in the scenario are with their entire squadron. I would suggest making 12-18 aircraft per squadron for the USA, 12 for the United Kingdom, France, and Italy, and 8 for other NATO AFs. Iran will also order 150 J-10A once sanctions are lifted. SA-10 (and possibly SA-21s) SAMs will be introduced this year. Russia may sell the KA-52, SU-27, and more MiG-29s to Iran as well.
RE: Iran Strike, 2015
Played a bit of it. One small question mark is the presence of the JSTARs. They seem like they wouldn't be the best for this kind of mission-highly vulnerable craft whose main purpose (tracking ground movements) isn't really applicable here (you're not attacking Army or IRGC positions)
RE: Iran Strike, 2015
Note that your F-22 Raptors lose lot of stealth with 4 drop tanks. Even when it says Internal, Long Range, only weapons are internal, drop tanks are external.

According to Google Earth and Wikipedia there are a few stationed in the region. Their not really useful fore the scenario but for the sake of being accurate I added them.

Oops, I thought I changed them. I'll fix it for Beta 2.
RE: Iran Strike, 2015
hi kushan!
there are 24 su 24 fencer with anti radar missiles -> they have no mission !!
the events -> points - doesn´t work - i think there is are some logic problems !!
with the tomahawk an the jdam -> and some others can the iranian single unit airfields destroyed
-> idea:
iranian airbases ->>> a own side -> when they get damaged ->> scenario end -> scenario briefing : don´t attack the airfields....
good working !!

RE: Iran Strike, 2015
I will take a look at the point logic tonight? Are all of them not working or only some of them? Can you be more specific which ones are not?
RE: Iran Strike, 2015
Hay Kushan
Played through, the only air opposition that seemed to fly were F-5's & Tankers.
Was able to knock out all above ground targets in the 3 target zones with 6xB1's and they had missiles to spare. Had some issues with refueling the B-2's and never got to drop those monster bombs.

RE: Iran Strike, 2015
Which version do I need to run this ?
I currently have V1.08 Final - Build 678.18
And when I load the scenario... it litteraly loads it (I see the progress bar advancing) but then I am left with an empty Earth map... no error message, no crash, no game freeze, I can span the map but no units at all, nothing. [&:]

I sometimes got that sort of thing too. I did find out that computer reboot fixed that for me.
