Are you referring to snapping turtles? I am not that kind of reptile. When I was in college we had another meaning for "snapper". That doesn't apply to me either.

I forgot someone who deserves at least a mention: Paula Prentiss

Did I mention Suzanne Pleshette? She could force you to laugh your ass off, after which you would no longer be able to sit down.

Someone beat me to Ingrid Bergman, my candidate for most beautiful woman to ever walk the planet. Don't know if she really qualifies as "lesser known," though!

In that category I put forth Andrea Dromm ("Allison" in The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming and Jordana Brewster ("Ali" in Annapolis, a movie that many wish never had been made, though I like it -- An Officer and a Gentleman meets Rocky).

Then, of course, there are the two that are well known in the Old (as opposed to Young) Whippersnapper generation but maybe not quite as much later -- Maureen McCormick (happy birthday, 2 days late!) and Eve Plumb. Another who is lesser known to younger generations would be Hayley Mills, my favorite actress.

By the way, I detested Hayley Mills. My parents were both ministers and they enjoyed inflicting on me and my older brother wholesome movies including every flipping one Hayley Mills made. PUKE. Fortunately, they also took me to see "Man of La Mancha" with Peter O'Toole and Sophia Loren in a musical where they were being dubbed in by people who could actually sing.

I didn't care about that cause my eyes were as big as tea cup saucers looking at Sophia. My life's love was introduced to me there.

My God, she's been gone twenty years already. She left us at age 62, which doesn't seem quite as old as I once thought it was.

Your parents knew what they were doing. Raising Gorns must be challenging; especially in those testy teenage years.

Just in case anyone didn't take me seriously, here's a rather disgusting performance from Ms. Hayley Mills:

By the way "That Darn Cat" was one of the films I was forced to watch during my time in Guantanamo.

And Yvonne Craig left this veil of tears yesterday - at 78 with breast cancer.
