J/A 41 Axis 6

No Dow

Japan closes Burma road for fun. On a 10 US ignores.

All go with land.

Germany rails GAR from Paris to Königsberg. Italy rails HQ from Austria to Poland, German units get their much needed supply again.

2nd ski div returns Finland after completed mission, 2 USSR GAR are railed to Moscow area.

Land combat:

In China Japs attacks disorganized OOS CAV in mountains (+16).

In Rumania Germany makes "all or nothing" attack vs INF with ARM HQ and MOT (13:5 = +6,2B before German ground support) without using attacking HQ support. HQ is needed to reorganize planes. Stuka gives 4 points ground support.

In south east Poland Germany attacks INF (21:7 = +7,5B before USSR ground support) and FW190 fly over battle field trying to prevent USSR bringing any bombers.

Do USSR want to fly IL-4 from Minsk using extended range to south east Poland without fighter cover?

If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

Looks like planes are not reorganized and counter attacks will hurt us...

MOT advances to attacked hex leaving ARM HQ alone. It has to be done or USSR Mech can do some real damage, now it is OOS.

Germany rebases Bf109's to front lines in northern and southern Poland. Bf110 rebases to Rumania giving some cover to ARM HQ. Fokker in Finland rebases one hex forward so it can reach Leningrad.

No HQ reorganization.

Back to the Allies. I bet the revenge will be sweet. HQ alone again in front line does not promise anything good...

This is a fascinating game; Germany is doing horribly, but Japan is doing better than average, and US entry will be quite late.

The question is whether Germany can hold on long enough, and hard enough, to prevent the Allies from concentrating all their force on Japan.

Remember, the historical outcome is that Germany is completely conquered, so that having that happen is not the end of the world for the Axis.
I thought I knew how to play this game....

I think US don't have to come to Europe at all. That means problems for Japan.

J/A 41 Allied 7

No DoW

France pass, CW & US combined, USSR & china Land.

Vildebeast to Biscay 3-box.

CW puts CP in West Med. Trans sails from Pola to Italian Coast. Do the Italians wish to intercept?

To move things on, I'm going to assume that was a yes. A CA initiates the intercept but fails on a 9.

US sends 2nd CV to Pearl, 2 CP's to Caribbean from West Coast and 2 CP's from Norfolk to East Coast.

3 sea areas for naval combat. CW declines East Med. CW initiates in Italian coast with a CA. No additional air support. Do the Italians wish to commit subs?

I'll assume this is a no. Allied search 5, Axis 8. No combat.

Mozambique Channel declined.

CW sends Stirling, Halifax and Harrow to Dusseldorf. Mossie provides escort. Me-109 at Cologne could intercept. Does it scramble?

A CW ground strike is less impressive.
