RE: Global War : a Japanese AAR
The Russian watch in horror as the Germans wake up, rebase two bomber from the southern pocket and turn up two fighter, one being the best in the game. Of course, Russia has absolutely no fighters.
The allies bite themselves for not bombing that HQ strong enough!

Considering the situation, the allies hand a flower to the Russians: they will themselves ground strike Berlin. And the hex containing both planes. These will have to fly this impulse or likely never. And the western allies fighters can handle the German fighters. The Russians can attack Berlin, using an offensive, in the hope that the allies bombing raid will have some effect. If they fail to again capture Berlin, the Russians agree that the western allies can give it a try on the following impulse.
As always, the Commonwealth and USA both use a super combined.
Russia a land offensive with Zhukov.
France an air impulse.
The allies pass on the opportunity to port attack the Japanese fleet. They have better use for their bombers.

Just an idea of the units waiting to find a place to land.
And they will, given enough time!
And more ships are waiting in port, with yet more units to load.

In Berlin, the allies find it necessary to fly up to four squadrons to intercept the Ta152.
This is a fairly good idea...

North of Kiel, the allies ground strike the second fighter which the Germans kept in reserve and had not the range to reach Berlin.

RE: Global War : a Japanese AAR
But they fail in Rostock.
However, two more German corps are disorganized, which now makes up to 80% of the remaining active German units (in supply) desorganized: the German army is just unable to do anything.

The Russians grudgingly thank the western allies for their efficiency.

The Japanese fly in defense of Yolohama, but they definitely can't make it.

RE: Global War : a Japanese AAR
At long last, the Russians seem to get somewhere in Berlin.
The streak of bad luck seemes to have stopped, and with the city now defended by one corps, no possible reinforcement, the city should fall in the next impulse.
Note the bug: The Russians are supposed to lose no additional unit beyond the para, but that's not so: they have to destroy a second unit.

In north Germnay, the estern allies are doing their job, pummelling the remains of the German army, trying to open the way west to Kiel. After the initial failure, that's the best bet now.

At last, the Commonwealth is continuing the island hoping they have been doing.
Yap falls.
The Bismarck sea is almost fully under allied control.

RE: Global War : a Japanese AAR
The allies carpet bomb Tokyo.
The Japanese fleet has been extremely lucky and was not found by the US fleet! it has available fighters, and they fly: it is not worth the risk of losing any of the land unit defending Tokyo. At the worst, thats a +1 that the allies won't have.
