Waiting, waiting...

Post by sami heimola »

Hello everybody!

I'm (and maybe someone else;-)) just waiting
for moment when I can read "SPWAW is ready to download. Press "Download" button"... It's 24.00 o'clock here in Finland and I'm still awake;-). Fortunately I have 1 free day left from work! I can't sleep until I get it... Is anyone still awake in Finland or somewhere else?

It's 5:05pm here in Michigan and I've been up since 8pm yesterday. Still waiting. I took the day off too. This reminds me of the days when my Sgtmaj would say "Hurry up and wait" and "Just one more hill".

Yes, it's 1:14 AM in Moscow. It's a Victory Day tomorrow (or, rather, today), how convenient that I won't have to go to work! In any case I won't go to sleep until SPWAW is released. Then I'll have about 15 to 20 hrs until it will be downloaded (thank God I have GetRight!).

Hello Sami
I was in the Marines for 8 years. I got out about 4 years ago and just graduated college last week. I'm now commisioned an Ensign in the Navy Reserve. I did however get close to Finland, I was in Norway doing training in 1988.

Really? Maybe someday we can training together;-)... When we are part of NATO sometimes in future, heh heh... We have F-18 Hornets too but other equipment is very "miscellaneous" (T-72M tanks, Crotale missiles and so on...).

Ah, we'll see who kicks whose a** this time ;-)!!! Personally, I'll start with Russia vs Germany, since that was the first "long" campaign I was through in original SP.

Sami, when they get the online head to head patch out, I give the Russians a try against you if you're game for a match. I really don't care for the russians, but I'll try. I'm not really into pbm but this online thing sounds fun. Do you play anything else online... Like warbirds? You might want to check out a great new game comming soon that all us warbirds players are raveing about. Its called WWIIonline(WWW.WWIIonline.com) Image

Warbirds? Is it WW2 flight simulator? Well, I don't care about flight simulators. SP1-3 and all variations are more interesting. I want to make SP-series' timeline a little bit "larger";-)... Just like in my "SP2:US Civil War"-project. I like to play WW2 but sometimes I want some "variable" gaming with SP's engine. It will be very ambitious project but if we will get it to work properly, maybe more same kind of projects can be done... Time will tell. I have played couple of times with SP1-3 and SPWW2 but not tonight;-) (sorry phone bills will increase anyway...).
