How does this compare to Pacific War Matrix Edition?

Post by sfatula »

Is the overall scale mostly the same? Might you consider this game a sequel to Pacific War perhaps? Or, are they totally different games?

Just trying to figure out if this game has as much micro managing as Pacific War. Or, is this one less detailed?

The amount of micromanaging in AE is a thousand times greater than in Pacific War. The only thing they have in common is the part of World War II they cover. Other than that, they're not really comparable.

Pac War was a great game for its time, but we are talking 20 years ago. What did your cell phone look like 20 years ago?..[;)]

Ok, it was unclear what this game really was. I have read some more stuff, reviews, etc. and can see the overall idea is the same. This is what I wanted to make sure. Yes, lots more detail. But, I didn't want a game on the Pacific war that was non detailed and it was unclear to me how detailed. Sounds great!
