Favorite battles:
1. The cossack raid. Way cool
Had to settle for a MV on this one, was very close though.2. Skirmanova. Love the name lol. This was fun because you get no support points and have to keep two VH defended yet still spare some troops to grab a few VHs further away. Plus those **** krauts had about six captured T34 and KV-1s!!
3. The last battle at Istra. Thought this was going to be a cakewalk until those two flanks of armor from the north and south made me realize otherwise.
Score: 19pts. 5 DV and 2 MV.
This would have been a lot harder if I had picked realistic numbers of T34 in my core. I had one company and 1 platoon of them and when I had enough support points I picked up as many KV-1s as I could. That first battle would have been much tougher without those T-34s and KV-1s to deflect the shots. I was also lucky that I didn't see many german 88s around. Those peashots coming out of the PzIII and PzIV were bouncing left and right off my tanks
I did see a few of the longer barrelled PzIV and Stug which can drill a hole through a T34 but once I see one I gang up on them and they die fast if they miss.Great job on designing this campaign!
So... now it's back to the meat grinder of Stalingrad
