I wish my old BBs could deliver the mail like that.

It is an argument for the PH attack on Dec 7. If you ask me everyone ASSUMES you don't use the USN 21-22kt BB's for surface combat because that was the historical decision.

In this case we have almost unlimited visibility. Here, New Mexico dishes it out and has a 7,000 yds of closure while firing before the IN CA's open up. Despite taking 22 hits of all caliber she dishes out serious punishment.
All this without full magazines.

But remember, Hickman was the Commander, so he wrote the report to Pearl....
