My computer can't add up!

I've just ordered Watchtower, so I thought I should have a bit of practice in the Pacific. I had a go at the first battle of the Tulagi campaign on the weekend.

One VH is worth 4250 pts, so I thought I should concentrate on this. Landing on the Western tip of the island. I took this hex, and one other. Ratio of forces lost - USMC 19 men: Japanese 60 men and one IG. Result ~ 4600:3200, Draw!

Next run through landing on the NW tip I took all VH, 175 men, two IG, two HMG, two knee mortar squads, and monstered, but did not destroy, the Jap HQ. I lost 25 men and an alligator.

Result ~ 7500:2600. Draw!!

Are there 'secret' VH I don't see, or is the design from an earlier version of the game, or are my men worth 100pts each?

...or maybe my comupter is innumerate?

Any advice?

That big vic hex is a per turn one, I only got a decisive when I dropped paramarines on it, the Japanese never got any points from it and I started getting points from turn one.

I never did well with it when playing with alligators.
