1) The experience hit for upgrades is pretty steep, no? I'm trying to upgrade a Stuart light tanks to Shermans, but all of my guys' experience would evaporate. Is this working as intended, and if so what's the thinking? Surely getting a new tank or plane requires some getting used to, but it's not like a fighter ace becomes a rookie because he goes from Wildcat to Corsair...

2) I've noticed a rare thing where I try to attack, and my attack capability gets used up, but nothing happens... no animations or sound, no losses either side, just uses up my attack for no good. It seems to happen most with surface ships. It's not often, maybe 3-4 instances in an entire scenario, but enough to be really annoying. Anyone else come across this?

Thanks
Enjoying the game greatly! I'm sure it will be even better when I lose my Panzer General habits.

Re 2)
I think this is 'only' a sound/animation/graphic problem.
It looks like strength hits are taken so combat is performed.

Thank, do appreciate it. Will try and pay more attention and see if strength hits are indeed taken.

Unfortunately this is a bug. I have had situations where the expected loss for the enemy ship has been 1, 1+ and even 2 and nothing happens. The attack is used up but there is no animation or sound.

Are you using the PC or Mac version? I've heard the combat animation issue being reported a few times on Mac, but don't recall seeing it myself in the PC version.
