Not Worth Bragging But Pleased

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Not Worth Bragging But Pleased

Post by goulash »

I had my first Major Victory.

Yes ok it was against the AI but I am pleased [:D]

On the flip side, I got defeated by AI Germany in the Tunisia 37 turn game [:@]

I am finding that I need to learn logistics and unit support selection a bit better. So many times I think odds in my favour only for enemy to hold ground so I need to learn how to smash them out of their places.

Great Game in fact one of my favourites.

That is great!
I also managed a victory yesterday as WA in Torch to Tunisia in turn 34. Despite being 6 weeks late historically, it was still end of June, about 2 weeks before the historic Husky launched from Tunisia.
I did all the air warfare myself and FoW was on, difficulty normal/default. Result was 14416 to 7100 VP, major allied victory![8D]
