5/14/'43 ?

The Mid east is supposed to "open" then? Anything special about this event? It's after that date in my game and there's been no fanfare that I could see... O.o
Being paranoid doesn't necesserilly mean that "they" aren't actually out to get you...

With the Med open, you can skip Cape Town,

travel distance between Europe/ Eastern USA and India will be reduced significantly

In addition Aden becomes a major source of fuel and supply. The flow there is very sparse until the Suez canal opens. After the above date both fuel and supply stocks grow fairly fast.

New Allied shipping construction can bring 6 fully-loaded 8-ship convoys to Aden from Christobal. Half of these will unload at Aden, then return to GB to load fuel & supply. The other half will pass through Aden to unload at Bombay, then return to Aden.

There's nearly no escorts avaiable at India's west coast, but by May 43, all destination ports should have local ASW TFs & aerial ASW patrols (Karachi, Bombay, Cochin).
