1st turn report:
MC units report taking 8 VH's but encounter 3" ATG fire from a factory just inside the American lines, and also from the northern VH's in the woods. Another MC unit reports fire coming from Airborne units located in a factory building and armed with M1 bazookas. Fire support requested but unavailible due to druken FO's who spent too much time looting liquor stores while waiting two weeks for the American turn. Drunken FO's shot and replacements requested. 1st & 2nd Panzer Companies moved into blocking positions, 3rd Panzer Company advances. 1st Panzergrenadiers advance on foot. Dozens of wives & girlfriends wave and blow kisses, then try to rip each others hearts out when they realize they are all waving and blowing kisses to Cpl. Hans "Der Hose" Deibert. Dispatch two squads of SS troops to quell riot but Cpl. Deibert calms them all down with brief hugging and kissing session. Cpl. Deibert promoted to Sgt. and transferred to diplomatic corps. SS troops finish eating last of pastry, drink final cups of coffee, and prepare to defend sausage factory complex which is believed to be primary American objective since the reported sinking of two cargo ships full of Spam. Satchel charges placed in large boxes marked "Vienna Sausages" and left at major crossroads as bait for the Americans. Spec Ops troops in American rear report that although we left the Americans only a single, tiny wooden bridge behind their lines the American commander has attempted to park two companies of tanks on it. Spec Ops troops ordered to report to medical unit for observation since they are clearly having flashbacks to a previous battle. The American commander could not possibly be repeating that same mistake, could he?

Its dark outside...the vis is still 17 as the sun starts to rise....
Most of my men are still asleep when the rude Germans awaken them with their loud motorbikes...I can still smell the burnt Spam and eggs as the sound explodes into a mini crescendo of up-coming doom...The Germans are here!:mad:
Quickly Recon units move out and dispatch a few of the rude German bike riders. Greyhounds move out to see what the hell is up and a couple are already way too far ahead..One spots a Kat SP-ATG and engage!:eek: The monster only returns fire when the lone AC puts a MC unit under fire and then backed up by another AC GH. A sharp US Arty spotter quickly puts many 60mm Mortors into action against the sauerkraut's.

German turn 2:
My MC units want to kill Americans so badly they will not obey orders and pull back. Foolishly they attempt to assault one of the American dog tanks, a "Greyhound". I do not know why the Americans give their vehicles such strange names. The greyhound is not a fighting dog, it is for chasing rabbits and running very fast. Well, let them think we are rabbits, and then we will see how fast they run...away! Already one is gone, the other will soon follow.
My new FO must have stopped to chew out some of the artillery crews before reporting in, because they seem to have woken up to the fact that there are targets waiting. The night begins to howl with the sound of 120mm rounds pummeling American ATG positions, while 150mm rounds seek out the American mortars and SP guns. Strumtiger and Jagpanther crews man their weapons and await my call to action, but I will hold them in reserve until I can fix the American positions.

German Turn 3:
Units from my northern flank are reporting they are being shelled by 8" guns. So far only a few units have been hit and they still press forward.
Ach! These Americans and their need for everything bigger! Are they so inferior as men that they must make up for it with such large guns? No matter, my new FO just arrived, and brought two guests with him, a Mr. Wurframen and a Mr. Nebelwurfer. I believe that they will compliment the platoon of Sturmtigers that are now in position.
Units on my south flank report destroying another of those dog cars, the Greyhounds, but also report seeing one of the new American tanks with the soft suspension. Rumor around HQ has it that the Americans are so spoiled and tender they needed to smooth out the ride on their tanks to spare their soft behinds. They also seem to be cowards. The tank only fired one round before activating it's smoke dispensers and hiding. More proof of their cowardice comes from the MC units probing the center of the lines. They report being chased by half tracks armed with two medium MG's and one .50 caliber HMG. Naturally the spineless Americans kept their distance so as to avoid getting the paint on their pretty trucks chipped by the small arms my MC units carry. I have ordered smoke to be laid down all along the front in the hopes of forcing the Americans to close the range and show themselves.

Hmmm Getting thick in here....Another "Dogcar" is killed while on a fast tract scouting mission..he died for his country and did a good job...SS infantry and Panthers spotted! While 50% of my arty is down..( chased away from counter-fire ) the other 50% is called in on both the SS and the Katz! I love US quick reaction arty:p

My advance units are starting to take heavier fire now, as more of the Americans slither out from under their rocks. Another Greyhound is destroyed in the northern woods, and a halftrack suffers from the attentions of a dedicated gunner.
In the south that lone Sherman is still firing single shots then hiding. Let him hide, my artillery will find him soon enough.
Through the center of town I can see advancing airborne units, and they too will have to deal with my artillery, as well as my forward elements.
The American artillery response is just as fast as I was warned, so it is good that I carefully trained my troops in dispersal manuvers, although, one recent round of 105mm fire very nearly caught my Sturmtigers crossing a bridge. One even took a glancing blow from a shell that did no damage, except perhaps to the crew's underwear.

German Turn 5
One of my Spec Ops units behind the American lines foolishly opened fire on what they thought was a lone ammo truck 150 yards away. It was not alone, and the squad paid a heavy price for its rash decision.
Again American 8" shells are raining down on my units, causing some to hunker down and seek cover, but others are quite busy...destroying American armor! (Or are they German armor, since the American dog of a commander says he has none?)
Speaking of dogs, one of my Panthers just finished feasting on another of those dog trucks - those Greyhounds - and found it a tasty treat, but not quite a meal for a hungry Kat. Other Panthers though found quite satisfactory repasts in the form of a M36 Jackson, and the "Easy 8" that had been too cowardly to show itself. The Jackson was trying to hide in some bushes alongside a canal, and not doing a very good job of it, while the Easy 8 was busy trying to hide in some poor farmers wheat field. Both units were quickly destroyed.
My units also report considerable enemy recon activity, and my MC units are having fun pinning them down for the artillery that's coming. A lone half-track was spotted sitting between two trees on the edge of the woods, and when the Kats couldn't get a clear shot at it the target was turned over to my new FO. At the end of the turn it was bracketed by several 150mm rounds and I don't think the crew is in any knind of shape now to do much else but flee.
I've ordered my adjunant to start preparing the American's surrender papers.
