Mary Babnik Brown Bombed the Reich...

Post by KWG »

Iam the Allies now so I was reading about the day/night bombing and I came across this info.

The cross hairs for the Norden Bomb sight were made from the hair of Mary Babnik Brown who was a blonde.
They had tried the web of Black Widow spiders but the temp changes were too much for it.

Who would have thought it. A Wikipedia article that has inaccuracies. I'm shocked. Shocked I say. [>:]

The Black widow webs Ive seen do very well with the humidity, but winter weather leaves them thin or none at all.

I would venture to say that the biggest inaccuracy may be that she was asked for hair from only her head.
