Just kidding! Wargamers....such a difficult lot to satisfy.
Wow looks very nice. I am happy there is a “strategic map”
I wonder about the lines dividing up the map.
I also note the sheer number of bases and wonder how I can possibly keep track of them all.
As for the short scenarios, I would hope they are played on separate maps. To take the full map and make some areas unplayable is just not the same.

Don't know what you are looking for in separate maps. The smaller scenarios are played on portions of the big map.

Probably would have had to make the map bigger wit a lot more wasted space. Right now it seems that the map has to fit diagonally, so to speak, in the area in order to get Oz and the West Coast of the U.S.
If you turned the map with north at the top you would have to have a rectangle with the long sides running north/south - which is not how your monitor is laid out.
Or something like that...

Matrix Games and 2by3 Games today announced that the upcoming release of War in the Pacific, a strategic look at the Pacific conflict in World War 2 will be available online and in stores for the price of $250.
When asked to respond to the pricetag, Matrix and 2by3 staff said simply, "We knew they'd pay. They always pay. They're sick in the head with these games. Something about amazing detail and accuracy in games makes these people crazed with a desire to spend..."

It is like a (put name of ethnic group here) auction. If I could get the game (in as good a shape as it will be when released) today I would shell out the $250. But if I couldn't get it until tomorrow I wouldn't pay a penny over $249 - and so on.
