Newbie questions

Post by Paul Wykes »

Hello all.

This game looks and sound really good. Could someone please ask some (very green) questions, which I`m sure have been asked (and answered) hundreds of times already (search facility-whats that;)

Is there a scenario editor ? (i can see theres a map editor, is this a scenario editor as well)

is the campaign game linear or does it branch into different routes. Is there just the one campaign?, is there any other additional scenarios?, if so, can I use my team in all of the scenarios/campaigns.

Just a few to get started, I`m surew I`ll have more

:)

Thanks
Paul

The map editor is the tool to create single mission maps, campaigns and multiplayer maps. Depending on what you mean by scenario, the map editor is it :)

The campaigns are linear, but the map editor allows you to mark maps as "no advance on defeat" so that you *have* to complete that map to advance to the next.
There are 3 campaigns, with increasing levels of difficulty. The first was designed to help your squad through the initial stages of its career, and the others can be played consecutively or with a few missions or random maps in between. The third campaign is tough and very elaborate.
Only custom squads (not special squads though) can be used to play missions and campaigns - it's called Solitary mode. In Hotseat mode you can play randomly generated teams or custom squads, against the AI or other human players, in random maps or multiplayer maps created with the map editor. And then there's Netgame mode :)

Yep,

I do believe it is sold.

I`ve just been looking at the screenshots more closely, to get the feel of what features/systems are incorporated. Looks very good indeed.

... Get v1.4 at www.titansofsteel.de :) its free, though (if its out) v2.0, aka Warring Suns, is much better, though you gotta pay.
