[FIXED B757.5] Northern Inferno Error (see screenshot)

Post by pchandler43 »

Please reference the uploaded screenshot. I am receiving an error when I attempt to launch the first mission of the Northern Inferno campaign, by way of the Campaign menu. After the video plays, I receive this error.

Try this:
Start up Command and leave it for a couple minutes at the main menu.
And then try starting the Campaign.

I have the steam version of both, should I try starting it by way of CMANO or from Northern Inferno? Does it matter?

The problem is that it can take a couple of minutes for it to read in all the databases from the disk - there are a lot of CWDB and 3KBD ones.
Usually this is relatively quick, but I have noticed lately (happens on my laptop) that if there is some heavy disk activity (or even virus scanning) going on, this can slow down the start up process, and trying to start a scenario before it has loaded the platform data can cause this error.
