Locating units

Post by bushman777 »

I have just started playing UV and have noticed when I want to find TF/Bases/Units I have to scroll all around looking for them, especially Naval units deployed. Is there a way to have a unit be centered on or highlighted on the map when chosen from one of the pop up menus. I hope this makes some sense. If there is not a current way of doing this can it be added in a future patch?

If you're talking about the unit list buttons from the top left of the screen -

Once you find the particular unit in the list, click on it's location (or TF) listing and it will jump to the map with the unit's location as its centre.

If the unit is a land or air unit, that unit's icon (listed across the bottom of the screen when a base is selected) will be highlighted but unfortunately it will not always be immeadiately visible if there are a lot of other units present in the location.

Hopefully I made about as much sense as you did.

Cheers

Drongo,

Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi

Thanks for the help mate, there is a lot in this game to get a handle on, but with all the rain we are having in Sydney, I get a bit of a break from the outdoor chores, which gives me some fun time with this game.

Mate,

When I saw the forum name "Bushman", I kind of guessed you might be one of us (as opposed to one of them). You could at least put Australia as your location so the rest of us know to rush to your aid in time of need (it'll only cost you a beer). If you add the flag, it's even easier.

You're not the only Sydney sider I've heard of who's enjoying the end to the drought. I think UV is getting a fair old workout by quite a few players up there at the mo'.

Cheers (and try to send some of the wet stuff my way, the old farm needs a bit of a drenching).
