I had another look at some of those small units in India/Burma, and a lot of the units have leaders with PP cost of 30, not 50, but I still think I saw some that cost 50. May have been in the larger units like Brigades.
To clarify, I was talking just about the cost to get a decent leader in the unit. The cost of buying out the unit to an unrestricted HQ is on top of that!

Most players do what you have done - buy the US units first because they have good firepower and their device pools are decent too, meaning you can get replacements after battle.

Right now, 30 PPs is too much to buy a good Indian Leader.

There are many other units I'd rather use my PPs for, for the next few months. Including, but not limited too, buying out all transport aircraft. I think I am going to need a huge armada of transport aircraft to take supply to china, once the Allies launch operation Land Shark.

This is one of my frustrations with the game - small vessels take multiple mine hits but keep on sweeping mines. In reality the first one would have blown them to scrap lumber. The damage for mine hits is not assessed until the end of that phase (night or day). Naval combat and bombardment torpedo and shell hit damage is applied right away - why not for minesweeping?
