Campaign Map Question

Forum dedicated to the Scourge of War Game set during the Napoleonic Wars. Scourge of War: Waterloo follows in the footsteps of its American Civil War predecessors and takes the action to one of the most famous battles in history. It is by far the most detailed game about the final battle of the War of the Seventh Coalition.

Campaign Map Question

Post by xanth_ih »

When two armies meet in battle on the campaign map, does the game generate a map based on the actual location, or does it use one of the 4-5 existing maps from the sandbox campaign?

Mitra is correct - one of the stock maps is selected. If you fight in a large town, the Grand Ville map is selected. When you fight in a small town the small town map is selected. Road maps and default maps are created for road battles.

The only exception is when you fight at Waterloo - in that case the accurate, historical map is represented. As we release DLC you will be able to fill in other areas of Belgium with accurate campaign maps.
