[NEED FEEDBACK] Error on launch.

First time trying to start the game from steam (screenshot below)

Since the latest hotfix installed via Steam, regardless of which way I try to start the programme, I’m getting a launch error too, as below:
a) I’m no longer getting the “Do you want the programme to make changes to this computer?” dialogue box first off. It goes straight to the splash screen.
b) Clicking on “PLAY CMANO” on the splash screen THEN results in the “Do you want the programme to make changes to this computer?” dialogue box.
c) Click “No” on that and it just reverts to the splash screen.
d) Click “Yes” and you also get the Steam error “Failed to start game (app already running)”
e) Clicking “Ok” on that doesn’t seem to do anything.

I tried a system reboot to make sure there was nothing lingering from the hotfix installation, but it makes no difference.

Ok... So that was all a bit weird. Firstly, it turned out that the beta patch was back "live" after I'd disabled it when the new one came out. Then it wouldn't let me disable it again, and after restarting Steam as an administrator for the second time, it then let me do so. Immediately after, it appeared that another download/update occurred - and then the programme was working normally again!
If you guys did anything, well, thanks. If you didn't... [;)]

We've had a number of successive builds pushed through the devtest --> public beta --> "official" live pipeline in order to quickly resolved the problem that many users had with needing run Steam as admin in order to correctly resolve the license checks.

Glad it worked out for you!

Still investigating the OP report. This is the first time we're seeing this error message so that may take a bit longer to dig up.
