Another quiet month in the ocean which is actually a good thing for us since we aren't burning fuel sailing back and forth everywhere. On land there was lots of action, and it would appear our major objectives outside of China are well within reach. CA Portland is still on the sunk list. Could it be that we actually sunk the cruiser? In any case, no changes to the sunk capital ships list this month. Although the captured bases slowed down to only six, Diamond Harbor was a big one in terms of progress, although it isn't worth much in points. The destruction of two Commonwealth divisions and LCU losses elsewhere, pushed up our VP ratio significantly to 3.635.
In India things are going well. We have a source of fuel and oil at Ledo to run the Heavy Industry we have captured from the British. Diamond Harbor is under our control and we have troops in Calcutta as the enemy flees the city via their last open route. With nothing but size one airbases within 500 or 600 miles of Calcutta, we have no Allied threat from the air at this time, at least until heavy bombers start to hit us. The fall of Calcutta is imminent. Once we have that city, we will move to try and isolate and eliminate some Commonwealth troops and then work on capturing some bases for a defensive buffer and some additional supply production. Hopefully we can generate enough supply here that we can export some to other areas of the Empire.
In China the capture of Kweilin was important to our progress from the south on Chungking. In the Chungking plains, Chungking is fully surrounded on the northern 4 hexsides. Although we attack Kweiyang, high casualties have necessitated waiting for reinforcements. Two 100% rebuilt divisions from the Canton Island attack have departed Tokyo to go to Hong Kong and provide some temporary help in China.
Very little action in the Pacific outside of some submarine activities around Canton Island and Tahiti.
In Australia Katherine is captured and our troops are about to attack Darwin. After that our two divisions and other supporting units may push south a bit to Daly Waters and a bit beyond to provide some breathing room.

Here is the current submarine scoreboard. No subs lost.Only one enemy ship confirmed sunk, although RO-63 managed to put two torps into CL Dauntless. That one ship was sunk by I-5 which brings its total to five ships sunk and moves I-5 into 3rd place on the list.
