My son is a senior in high school. He wants to join the navy, try for the teams.

NOT ON MY WATCH!! YOU ARE GONNA GET A COLLEGE EDUCATION FIRST!!

So I just get an email from a university. He applied!! [8D] I read through it, and as I was reading a second email came in, from the campus NROTC program

I could just scream....

With all the tremendous GI Bill and other educational incentives out there now, wouldn't a ROTC-based commissioned track be a good way to pay for college? Although we have saved up bunches of cashola for the kids' college educations, I don't know that I would say no to some help from Uncle Sam on the matter (if, of course, my kids were interested in the military post-graduation for at least a short period of time).
