Q regarding a/c fuel useage

Is FUEL the same for vehicles and aircraft?

I need to conserve fuel for my now grounded airforce (LW in 4th Supreme scenario)

Does the following help a/c fuel levels

1.Move a/c from Eastern Front and disband.
2.Minimise movement of motorised land units.

Does the non-use of ext fuel tanks on a/c help.

Any other fuel saving tips welcome.

You can conserve fuel by not moving panzer units. Try and keep them where you want them.

Turn off all training missions. It burns up fuel.

Turn off all auto naval patrols. Let the allies own the seas.

Change your load outs on your planes to one that doesn't have drop tanks. Stops them from flying around too much and keeps what's left of your Luftwaffe concentrated in the area you park it.

I should add that conservation works better if you start from the beginning. Once the well is dry, it is hard to conserve what is left.

It should pick "least fuel" load out automatically if air base is low on fuel.

I think my fuel shortages started when the Gruppen size went from 40 to 60 ish.(Scenario 4th Supreme commander)

Will restart using an earlier saved game.
