game file from PBEM unusable

Since I'm down to just my laptop, I got it ready for AE PBEM play, but ran into a problem. When I open up my emails from my opponent, it adds .txt to the file name (witp003.pws.txt) making it unusable. Also, there is no option to just save it. I had used a separate email program on my desktop, but it died last weekend. Now, I'm just using my internet provider's website. How can I get these files to have the correct extension??

Right-click on it and then click on 'Rename'. Use your arrow keys to go all the way to the end then delete and/or type what you want.

If your PC is set to not display file types you can change that option easily, but exactly how depends on what version of Windows you are running. Since you said it has ".txt" I assume you can already see it so that must not be a problem.
