I`m no expert on Japanese units though. At a quick search I was able to find these two photos:

bebro also portrayed them with bayonets in his IJA campaign mod. Maybe it would be interesting to place bayonets on their rifles and hopefully they`ll show in game too. :D

Oh that`s great. Could you please tell, how many of the vanilla units allready were made in the new and better style? Only rough...about the half maybe?
All of them save for the following exceptions:
- Bulgaria - provisionally I`ve used the corresponding German graphics for them. It`s really the last faction still vanilla.
- a few of the German captured units
- all the British captured units (which are german tanks basically)
- also, some of the elite and desert units are currently using the regular graphics of the faction instead of having distinctive versions.

Other than the above they`ve all been replaced with the new graphics and many others have been added. Close to 1000 units I think.


Oh cool. I didn`t think it were so many. Now I`m really looking forward to see the finished mod.

How is the landing craft going to be implemented? Is this meant to transport the troops from the bigger sea transport to the shore or should it just replace the faction`s sea transport entirely? There`s a landing craft for the soviets too (it lacks the bigunits card though) and I didn`t know what to do with it.

It is allowed it isn't allowed, the author has to understand that inquisitive minds will cross his excellent units to other mods even out of curiosity sooner or later) Or it will lock and on house PC extends!?)

Awesome work! Not that many units remaining, at least by comparison to Pacific General. Speaking of which, Pac Gen has an armoured car called Type 93 Sumida. I think they`ve conflated these two:

About the Ho-Ni 1 self propelled gun. The tanks-encyclopedia says that "Maximum range in indirect fire was about 12,000 m". So I think it would be useful to have it both in its current AT form and as a self propelled artillery.

It also says that "The vehicle was stripped of any machine-gun, to make room for ammo storage." So it should not have any secondary armament to the main gun.

In fact both things (no machine-gun and the ability to provide indirect fire) seem to be true for the Ho-Ni 2 and Ho-Ni 3 too.

The reworked Ho-Ni is a work of art. A rest is well deserved at this point. I`m gonna be very busy for a few days too so it`s all for the better. I`ll post the remaining tanks and AA guns later, but for now I`ll add the Infantry, Recon, Artillery and AT units:
