No garrison warning bug and levels were 100% or more

Post by Peltonx »

I also checked garrison levels and they were all at 100% or more.

I will start taking SS's.

Seems to be same bug as before after release.

Which I had to prove with SS's so don't take my word for it again.

Guessing same as before having to do with weather and SU's to get CV to right levels.

I mentioned on the Developer forum but I will repeat it here.

I have seen this before and I suspect the bug is in the display. When it says you have 25 / 25 CV in Belguim 100%, or in SE France, you probably have slightly less and the display is rounding up to a whole number.

In other words you may have 24.88 /25 instead. Which would be 99.52% and may show as 100%.

That little bit of deficit is what is causing a slight loss in VP's.

I usually try and have 1 CV more in my garrisons for that reason, but ideally the display should show the CV as a decimal number.

I saw this during beta and thought it was fixed before release as I have not seen it happen after until now.

It says I have 100% still as seen in window.

36 pts in a single turn is not slight.

When the bug first came up, they added the garrison warning.

Which means the warning is not working as it was before.

Your at 100% or your not, simple math.

plus you should get a warning and your not.

Clearly not WAD.

This issue should be clear for the player base not a guessing game.

???

Means I opened the turn and did not save so 2by3 can pull the save and hopefully find this old zombie bug.

If you find a bug don't save close game and post info, if you save it might cover bug.

I know where the bug is, its how the code counts SU's and CV.

If your low 1 CV as you know people add SU's to a division.

example;

You done moving and you click done, BUT

You get a warning.

So you add 1 or 2 SU and the units goes from 3 to 4 CV- cool your done. You check levels and they are all at 100%+

U click done, but you get a G warning.

U go back and check the same unit and its says 3 CV not 4.

So you add another SU, and its says 4 CV levels all say 100%

you click done and wth it gives a warning, unit says 3 cv and not 4.

So you move a unit to the region.

I have had this happen allot in my 2 current games, but this was the first time I got no message and levels.

I am guessing this same bug is effecting the EF box/levels, but on one is looking for it or its effects are small per turn.

Its in how #s are rounded up or down and it effects SU's, CV levels and garrison level and probably EF Box #'s

Both saves on the server are after event when garrison jumped by 36 points, which doesn't seem right. I've tried to progress game, but it looks all normal. GP increment is either negative or zero. I'm using latest beta code.

Another complication is that garrison VP are adding on Allied logistics, so WA player should look at the start of his turn, so we could grab Axis backup save a try to replicate.

So based on what Pavel has posted, I suggest Pelton save his game before he ends his turn, and then end the turn. Let your opponent know that if any turn points were scored for garrisons at the start of his turn, he should immediately save the game and notify us. At that point, we can download the last two saves and will have a before and after save. Thanks.
All understanding comes after the fact.

Sht ok Hang on Mr Rabbit !!!!

I just opened my game with Mr Floppy and I got this when I checked G levels.

Look at SW France?

I did not take any negative for G-levels, but CV is low.

I checked after AP.

Not sure if that helps?

Axis garrison levels are checked during allied logistics. Numbers after Axis logistics, doesn't have direct impact on VPs.
