GC Scn01 or DBB-c Scn28 allied opponent wanted. CLOSED

Post by atheory »

I think many play DBB scenarios, so I downloaded Scenario-C #28 so I am flexible in which one we can play. I also use the unofficial 7 beta exe.

I have played vs the AI for years, keeping up on the forums as I seem to learn something new each time I visit it. I'm ready for a human opponent. I need a new challenge.

I mostly play as Japan, constantly learning the workings of the industry and logistics system. I am fairly competent and confident in my ability.

I do prefer a more experienced allied player who may have a more inclination towards operational realism and fun(aka not fond of gamey tactics) As I want to commit to the game, I will only accept and play in one campaign game. I do plan to initiate and carry on my first AAR for this game as well.

I'm an avid forum lurker, reading up on all things knowledgeable. House rules are desired and can be discussed.

My thoughts thus far
1) I saw the term stacking limits, curious in discussing this. Not sure what it entails.
2) No mersing landing turn 1.
3) limitations on 4e naval bombing.
4) no strategic bombing except on main home bases, USA mainland or/Japan home islands. No use of China to launch such attacks
5) No war with russia, keep 8000 AV in Manchuria.
6) No new Allied TF turn 1
7) No air transfers as allies turn 1
8) No gamey single ship TF tactics.

These are not set in stone, just ones that seem reasonable and I am open to ones I either missed, don't know of or altering the ones I've listed thus far.

I will say up front that my goals are more in lined with having fun conducting the war, with winning/losing being more an after thought.

I look forward to the challenge
Thanks

I'd be open to a game. Have a couple now, but being semi-retired I have the time.

I'd rephrase some of your suggested house rules. Want to PM or e-mail? My e-mail is in my profile.

One of my current games is with Kaleun, and he's writing an AAR "Sunset in the east". I can't look, but feel free
to check me out.

Hi Atheory,
I like to be Allied
DBb-C is a good idea with SL (stacking limit)
I prefer "Quiet China" because is boring and unrealistic, but we must do siege of Hong-Kong!!!!
I modified the file "wpc028.dat"containing the data "ships class" because are often incorrect in tonnage, belt, deck and durability.
When you want I send you this file
Where do you live?
See you soon
