Hi All!

I have seen AP's sink Sub's, PT's & SC's in the past in UV.

I have read off several U-Boats in the Atlantic that were sunk as well by AP's, not sure about the PTO, however I'm sure this prob occured.

Later,

The Japanese modified a number of smaller freighters to carry depth charges and more guns - they still carried cargo, but were also used as pseudo-escorts when there weren't enough to go around. Whenever I lose a sub to an AP, I just tell myself this is what happened... That, along with the voices in my head, tends to ease the pain of the loss.

Allied subs sunk by transports is nothing when they get often sunk by IJN barges. IJN barges (AGs) are sub killers. :)

Yeah, what’s up with that! For some reason my subs want to use deck guns on AG’s and get slaughtered. It wasn’t until I started using P-39’s on the AG convoy’s that I had any luck.

IJN barges were armored and the US had to finally mount 37mm guns to sink them. They also had 50 cal mgs and could definitely fight back.
