Error Problem after patch

Post by demyansk »

I installed the patch, worked well, played a little of the game and had about 30 minutes to spare. I click on the shortcut again and I have it in admin mode and this comes up

Runtime

Failed to extract project file to memory

I then went into the game folder and clicked on the Germany at War icon and the game bypasses the matrix screen and goes to the initial startup of the game and then lower left of screen version 1.07. It has to do with the autorun file, I clicked on that in the folder and it did the same thing.

Suggestions on that shortcut?

Hi Ronald,

It comes on the click of the shortcut. However, when I click on the war in Germany file in the game folder, the game will work.

Any suggestions? It seems others have had the same problem. I am running Windows 7.

Hi demjansk,

do you mean a shortcut on the desktop or the taskbar/start menu ?

Or do you use the Matrix launcher ?

Anything that was created by the installer has to be discussed with the Matrix team, we have no influence on that.

We checked the installer before it was released but did not encounter any difficulties.

Hi Ron,

You sleep at all?

Thanks for the reply

After the update, it was clicking on the desktop shortcut icon.

I go into the game folder and click on the file that says. Germany at War, the game opens up and goes directly to the splash screen, the red horizontal bar moves from left to right and the game displays the picture of the scenarios. All works well by doing it this way.

However, I noticed the multiplayer box greyed out? Not accessible

So I have a lot in this message,

What is the matrix launcher? If it means the rectangular box that allows you to update and see manual, that usually came up when clicking on the desktop shortcut. However, now I get that message of project failed as stated above.

I am going to try again today, maybe uninstall and do all the patches again and see what happens.

One thing though
When I installed the patch it asked me to retry a few file installs and I had to do cancel because the install would not continue.

What patches do I need to start the process over,?

Thanks for listening

Hi demjansk,

there is enough time to sleep in the grave...[:D]

The mutliplayer button should work now, as i adjusted the server to accept 1.07 this morning.

For the updates/patches you only ever need the latest version in this case 1.07 as our updates are cumulative, meaning the latest version includes all previous fixes and new features.

Hi Ron,

Guess what? The game now works from the shortcut? Go figure, I should have turned the computer off and restarted it since that often fixes most things. Crazy thanks for your help and I'll let you know if I find anything else,

thanks
